This Week At The Can-Do Club

On Sunday, we learned that we are MORE than conquerors through Jesus! We can overcome anything if we trust in God to fight the battles for us! Of course, we must be a child of God before He can fight in our place.

To become a child of God, we must first CONFESS that we are sinners...that we have done things that displease God. Then we must BELIEVE that Jesus died for us and rose again on the third day. Finally, we have to ASK God to forgive us of our sins, turn from those sins, and trust in Jesus as our Lord!

Once we give our lives to Jesus, we can't fail! If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31) The answer? NO ONE!

Fritzi was on hand to give us some pointers on being more than Conquerors. Then we had Bible Story Theater. In this week's edition, David killed the mighty warrior Goliath. He used a slingshot and a stone but it was God that gave David the victory!

Sunday comics will be delayed this week, because we can not find a file containing the next page of Fortress.
We will have to scan-tone-type and balloon a new version of the missing page.
We hope the delay won't be long.

In the mean time here is the rough draft of a Young Cliff and Rambo Comic, from a couple or three years ago, that will probably never see the light of day!

Note: In the olden days folks believed that a black swan did not exist. Around the 1700s an explorer found that they did indeed exist! Scientists had been wrong!

Now, some people call anything that was once thought to be rare or non-existent but is later proven to exist- a "Black Swan".

There are also facts in the Bible that people throughout the ages thought were wrong but were later proven correct.

Like the Bible telling of Dinosaurs in Job Chapters 3, 40 and 41, Psalms 74 and 104 and Isaiah 27 before the bones were ever uncovered and put back together by scientists!

Did you know that in the King James translation of the Bible the Unicorn is mentioned 9 times in 5 different Books?

Grab a King James Bible and look in Numbers 23 & 24, Deuteronomy 33, Job 39, Psalms 22, 29 & 92, and Isaiah 34!

So was there once a one horned creature that most people says never existed?

Or was it a wild goat as many say?

Who knows?

Maybe one day someone will discover a lost herd of unicorns in the rain forest!

The Bible is never wrong!

It is full of interesting facts!

And God wants you to study it!

Read it today! It could start you on the greatest adventure of your life!

If you are in Kindergarten, you have to write (or get someone to write it out for you) - a 1/2 page story.

Kindergarten = 1/2 page

For anyone in school you must write at least 1 page for each grade you are in.

That means:

1st grade = 1 page

2nd grade = 2 pages

3rd grade = 3 pages

4th grade = 4 pages

5th grade = 5 pages

Last Week At The Can-Do Club...
